I hope I'm posting correctly. Still getting used to this site. Jerry MacNeish told me in an email that if RPO 55 console with gauges was ordered with 69 Z28, the clock went to center pod on instrument cluster. No exceptions. What he didn't tell was if it still was an option. I see many center console cars with just a camaro logo in the center pod. Thanks, Barry in NJ.

Gauges and Tachometer and no clock likely means the gauges were added after the vehicle rolled off final assembly at the factory - either dealership installed to seal a deal of a basic vehicle off the lot or added in the vehicles second life by a previous owner who did not follow factory procedure and include the clock.

Yeah but wicked easy to fix, and only takes an hour or two to cut the hole, mount and harness the clock.

And the clock (U35) was optional on all vehicles, console or not, as long as they didn't have gauges.

Yep usually around 13.9-14.0 sec. in the 1/4 mile
