I just took out Muncie M20 4 speed out of my camaro. Its is near perfect shape that I can tell. Previous owner bought it rebuilt as new and installed maybe 5000 miles ago if that.

Passenger’s Side:

Patent no 3088336

On tail shaft – 3587584GM



Driver’s Side

Cover plate – 3857584GM

Tag on cover plate bolt – 3952659WB

Thoughts on what it might be worth? It does have the shifter as well. I can email pics if needed.

I got $400 for mine on Craigslist. It had a few new gears and synchros just put in. I didn't exactly have people beating my door down for it either.

Yea thats probably about how much you are looking at. I had a 26/32 spline M20 with OE gears that sold for 1000 but that was a year or so ago. Demand has fallen which has dropped the prices quite a bit. Hell I cant even get rid of my M22 I have..

Yep many more options these days,5 speed,6 speed ect. readily available in the boneyards.That has pretty much killed Muncie prices except to the hardcore restorer.

X3 on the difficulty selling a Muncie. I've got an M21 close ratio with linkage, hurst shifter, tranny x-member and drive shaft on Craig's list for $500 and all I've got so far is a couple wierdo's wanting to trade some odd stuff for it. Good luck...
