I've been getting hammered on my picks , so this week I'm gonna flip a coin for each game and go with that, if that fails it's a dartboard next week. On the bright side UCLA beat USC made my day in Vegas (SCSN), I didn't find out the score till in the evening and did the happy dance and fist pump. Oh and my Raiders ? next year BABY !!

I couldn't make the SCSN this year, but I don;t think I will miss it again if I can help it. I watchied it quite a bit on the live feed. Saw there were quite a few new cars there, man I wish I would have gone.

I took a beating this week, so I guess I will count this as one of my bad weeks, everyone has at least 2. I have had one good week and a bunch of so-so weeks, I am due to break out with a bid week, I'm slipping in the standings.

I looked for you sitting in your spot Royce, I was there on Sat and the weather was perfect and warm with a very slight breeze not cold like the previous years and the racing was wild. What can I say about Jose Gonzales in the El General 5.70's at 261 mph, Mike Bowman carrying the frontend on his Chevelle to almost half track a few feet in the air under full power what a run.
That Jeg's Vette is not a car but a spaceship. The turbo cars are taking over, like someone said if your building a car to compete it better be a turbo. If you go to Yellowbullet there is a post with a thousand pictures. Next year Royce.

Turbo technology is making them hard to beat at the track. I didn't see as many aborted runs from the turbos cars like in before. They always ran hard it was just getting them to work, it was a 50-50 deal it seemed. Not anymore. I still hate the way they look, but darn they are FAST!

Man I even missed the live feed this year... That race is so dang awesome, but the cars are stupid fast anymore.
If we can get the car back on track again after some time off maybe we'll be racing there next year. Although look at the freaking qualifying in outlaw 10.5;

Our best pass ever in the 'Vette would put us at about #16... And 4 cars in the 6.50's or faster... 6.350 and 6.354 are #1 and #2? yikes...

I really miss that race, watching and competing, but the guys on top are essentially full time race teams, that's kind of too bad for the class, but lots of fun to watch!

That game was really a dissapointment as just a fan wanting to see a good game. I figured the Niners would win but it would be fun to watch and semi close, that was the most pathetic offensive perfomance I have seen in some time.

Not taking anything from the Niners D because they are good, but Chicago should be ashamed. At first I was thinking it was the 2nd string QB (and he was bad), but the Bears offensive line sucks! I don't care for Cutler, but Chicago fans should have a new appreciation for him, no wonder he misses a few games a year with concussions.. wow.

Now as for the Niners, either Chicago was just playing that bad, or Kaepernick is a better QB than Smith, he just looked way more crisp and in control of the game. Tough saying though, man Chicago looked bad.

The Taints are in for trouble with SF's D, but if it gets into a scoring battle and Brees gets hot, it could get interesting. I think the Niners will stop Brees enough and the sieve that is N.O.'s D will let them score enough to stay ahead.
Heck they should leave Kaepernick in another game and let him sling it on N.O. What a crazy season this year, it's anybody's wildest guess who will be in the Superbowl this year.

The niners D was no joke tonight. They shut down the run and got after the QB big time. Campbell is not a great QB, but he is better than that, he just didn't have time to breathe before he was getting smacked.

The Bears defense is legit, but got picked apart and were on the field all night.

Like every other week though any team can win, so who knows what happens next week. Makes it hard in pick-em, but sure is fun to watch.

Boy, you can say that again about Chicago! I expected much more from their defense, but that was a total meltdown.

Now on to next week Hands down, the 49ers are an elite team and I am concerned about the Saints' defense stopping them. It's Tuesday morning and the spread ain't out yet! I'm thinking that the way the Saints have been playing, the spread will be -3.5. It'll be interesting to see what the bookies come up with.

Like Royce said, any team can be beat on any given day. As of now, the Saint have won their last 3 games, the GM is back, along with Coach Vitt, Brees is hotter than he!!, the defense, although still lousy, is looking a lot better, and Sproles will be back for this game, too.

But as good as the 49ers have been playing, I have to go with the Saints. They have too many weapons not to win, and I think they'll be up to the challenge, but it will be a slug fest. I'm looking for a big day for Brees and the TEs, Colston and Graham. And our disco dancer in the end zone, Lance Moore.

Jonesy, you've been very quiet since the Saints have been winning. I miss your upbeat and sunny posts. I'm hope we'll be hearing more out of you as the big day approaches.
