This is Goldie - she is a yellow Lab / something (probably Border Collie) mix. She followed my wife home one day when she was out for a run with our other yellow Lab mix, Buddy (may he RIP). I have always maintained that her breed is actually 100% knucklehead, but she is a very sweet dog, and we can leave her in the house unattended all day long, 13+ hours and she doesn't bother a thing. She is about 13 now, and almost totally deaf, which makes it tough when we take her for walks - although it does make for some blissful naps for her.
![]() She is also quite fond of convertible rides, although I fear that her hair has become a permanent fixture on the carpet of my black interior. BTW, I may be a bit biased, but I think there is no dog that can pull off a smile quite like a Lab!

Sorry to hear that Royce. I lost my female Black Lab on March 23rd and its some of the worst pain.
If I ever have the heart to replace Haley it would be another Lab, maybe a Yellow so the hair doesnt show up so much! Best all around dogs in my book, when your dog knows what to do from the look on your face.............thats a good dog. Good luck with your choice.

I had never heard of a Belgian Malinois, so I looked it up. Sure looks a lot like a German Shepard. I didn't research it, but I assume they are related in some way?

Sorry to hear about your loss.
We have a Havanese, the Cuban strain of Bischon Frize/Maltese hair type small dog. ATTACK DOG DALE thinks he is THE KING but my bad for not socializing him more early on. He may not have enough size to defend you buy he'll sure alert you when anybody is near the house. He;s full of energy and a real heart breaker ![]()

While I was researching what type of canine to get a couple years ago, Boxers came up near the top for family pets. So do, can you believe this... Great Danes!
I want one but the wife wouldn't go for it.This is Bailey... a rescue mutt from down the hall here at work. A woman that works in the office fosters all kinds and brings them to work here everyday. That big head is Mabelline... a pitbull.

After being around a few Great Danes and have Laila 1/2 Great Dane, they are cool dogs, love attention (don't they all) and when they get a little older they are pretty mellow. I put a deposit down on a puppy (to help cover feed and vet) it's 1/2 Dane and half English Mastiff. I, oops WE will go pick him out on the 9th. I'm excited, but not looking forward to getting up in the middle of the night for the next couple weeks/months to let the little monster out.
