Hi everyone,
This is my first post on the forum. I just purchased my first muscle car in over 40 years. I am really excited and am ready to customize it a little. ![]() It is a solid black, 1967 RS. I have really liked the look of the cowl induction hood and am looking to replace the stock hood with it. I have a choice between steel and fiber glass. Does anyone have a recommendation on material or have experience with either? |

I like steel,it's easier to mount with hinges in my opinion and doesn't flex as much

Steel is a no brainer to me. Fiberglass has too many issues as far as I am concerned.

Go steel. Fiberglass is typically more expensive, and seems to be more of a PITA to get a good fit with.

Doesn't AMD have a aluminum hood?

Thanks for all the help. I think steel sounds like the way to go.
Can't wait to post pics soon. I'm getting a few things done and will be upgrading the wheels, so once it's all complete I'll share some photos
