Hello everyone, My name is Mike, and I'm active duty Air Force stationed at Cannon AFB, Nm. I am trading a 73 K5 Blazer for a 79 camaro with a 454/TH400 in it on saturday. I can't wait to get the car and start driving the $#!t out of it.

Thanks for the welcomes, I'll do my best to get pics as soon as I can. Doug G mine has a 6" Pro Comp lift with 38.5" TSL Super Swampers, 454/TH350 in it. It's a pretty awesome ride, I just want something fast.

Man that brings back memories

I had a built-up 400SBC in mine with 4.56's....fast wasn't an issue for it's size (could spin all 4) but the Camaro should be faster being 1000# + lighter.

I got in too much trouble with mine and the Judge red flagged my registration....so I parted her out ....

State take truck and me in jail or I keep truck, don't go to jail, lower truck and make legal or sell/part out.

Haha, I gotcha. Still don't know if I'd have been able to get rid of something I built just because I rubbed the right people the wrong way.

13 Fix-it tickets in 4 months or so and the biggie....Materially altering vehicle after inspection...Fine $2000 and 1 year max. Wasn't worth fighting to me....ended up with 3 yrs. probation

Fun while it lasted.... 3yrs. of mudding, a number of rears, a few trannys, 1 motor, and 1 transfer case.

Whew dang. lol I just use mine for a daily driver it never rains here. Like parkbrau had mentioned earlier, Cannon AFB isn't h3!!, but it's close enough see it from here.
