Default Will 275/60/15 tires fit a 67 Camaro?

It's time for new tires and I'd like to put 275/60/15's on the rear but am unsure if there will be any issues with rubbing. The rear of the car is stock with no mods of any kind other than a multi leaf spring system. I have no particular reason for that width of tire other than stance/appearance and will be running 215/60/15's on the front.

Will those tires fit or will they be too wide?

Thanks again.

Dean, the tires will fit if the backspacing of the wheels is right. remember you can use wheel spacers if they do rub....I would try to use only one spacer on each wheel if you need them. FWIW I used a billet spacer on my driver side, and the tires are a touch wider than the 275/60/15.

I have 275/40R/17 in the rear and have no probs. I also want 295s but the rear of the leafspring and upper wheelwell are very close. I "think" 295s will fit but not gonna buy until I go to a shop and have a test fit. Its close..... I read various websites that said both that they will fit and they will not fit. hummmmm.... If you find out please let me know. Thanks, Kevin

Thanks for the replies. I've been trying to find tires locally with raised white letters but those have proved difficult at best to locate especially in the sizes I'm wanting. I know I can purchase the BF Goodrich tires from tirerack.com but was trying to keep from spending $600.

I also have 275/60/15s on 15x8 billet specialties street lite wheels with 4.5" BS, as said above, fit perfect. Also have caltrac split mono springs with caltracs.
