Yes, congrats Kev, not bad for a Patriot fan...
![]() I gambled on a few yesterday since I figured I had nothing to lose, you see how that worked out for me....lol. Oh well it was still fun as always Royce! I actually got second in my fantasy league, first time I ever played fantasy, not sure if I will lay next year or not too much pulling for teams I don't even like etc., and it's darn near a full time job. Seahawks had me nervous yesterday, but the dang Rams are really getting it together, they had one of the better defenses by the end of the year I think, good on Jeff Fisher. The NFC West is looking pretty darn good next year. I was glad the Hawks gathered it up at halftime and came back playing better, I wanted to see that even though by that time it looked like the Niners would beat AZ. I hate to see a team fold it in when nothing is really on the line. Hope they make a strong push into the postseason, we get our #2 corner back next week and Sherman is cleared for the playoffs. We still have some injuries on defense but the next guy stepped up pretty well. I'm looking forward to the postseason!

So far it looks like Norv is out, Whisenhunt and the Cards GM is out, Lovie Smith is out, Reid is out, Crennel is out, Chan Gailey is out, Shurmer and the Browns GM is out, Ryan made it but the GM is out, and the Jags GM is out.
No real surprises, Whisenhunt was maybe a little, because the QB position was a trainwreck, but sometimes you got to just clean house. This is going to be a crazy off season for coaches and QB's I think. I'm curious if anyone will make a run for our back up Flynn, he's good enough to start I think, but I hope they keep him as a back up unless the trade is really good. Also hope they leave our O line coach alone, they have been talking coaching job for him. Paul Allen better pay the man..

Congrats Kevin, we'll do it again next year. A couple terrible weeks really killed me. You managed to avoid the really bad weeks. Most guys have at least 2 bad weeks. Looking at our pick-em we all were pretty decent many guys well over 90% that is saying something against the spread.

Lot's of changes going on in front offices and on the sidelines. Many of the guys will re-surface with other teams. I think Reid is a decent coach as well as Lovie Smith, I would like to see both of those guys land another gig.
In Rex Ryans defense, he really hasn't had a decent offense since he's been with the Jets. The defense has played very well with only a couple household names on that side of the ball. Someone mentioned 5 rookie QB's in the playoffs? I don't think that's right. Russell Wilson, Andrew Luck, RG III, are the only rookies, right? Kap is in his second year, just got his first start this year. Ponder is in his 2nd year as well. Unless I'm missing someone, there are only 3 rookies QB's in the playoffs and all three are pretty darn good.

I like the Colts over the Ravens. The Ravens are playing better lately, but the Colts are riding a lot of momentum. Luck looked like a veteran yesterday. Vikings and Packers are a toss-up. I'm not sure the Vikings can beat the Pack 2 games in a row. Seahawks and Redskins... I have to go with the Seahawks since I predicted them earlier to make it to the Superbowl.

My picks are.....
Bengals vs. Texans = Texans, gotta go with the home team on this one. Colts vs. Ravens = Colts, game could come down to a field goal to win it. Vikings vs. Packers = Packer home game but it's a toss up and Vikings playing good, I'll take the Pack Seahawks vs. Redskins = This ones is a toss up, Skins home game but Hawks are peaking at the right time. I'll take the Hawks,

Here's my upset alert of the week, the Colts beat the Ravens. It may be a good game though. I have watched the Ravens most of the season, they are a really frustratingly inconsistent team, and dropping the offensive coordinator mid season was a head scratcher, other than he never ran Ray Rice for some unkown reason. Which Flacco shows up? I'm still picking the Colts... Packers should handle the Vikings, AP can only take you so far, but damn he's good. Seahawks vs Redskins, I refuse to make a public prediction on this one, but I think you can guess...

Yes it's three rookies in the playoffs, first time ever.
What a batch of rookies this year, both offensive and defensive, but the QB's are crazy good in this rookie group. The Seahawks own Russell Wilson set multiple franchise records, and tied Peyton Manning's rookie TD record, and Wilson and RGIII both beat Roethlisbergers' rookie QB passer rating record. He was the first rookie in NFL history to lead his team to an undefeated home game season also. Lots of stats and such get thrown around, some mean more than others obviously, but I am incredibly impressed at how well Wilson did this year. Not bad for the 75th over all pick.. ![]() I can honestly say I have been behind him from the start, lots of Hawk fans can't say that, there was quite the Flynn/Wilson debate early on. What I really like about wilson is he is such a classy guy, with amazing drive and leadership ability. He is definitely the kind of guy you can get behind as a fan and even non fans seem to appreciate it. Yesterday toward the end of the game they called in a passing play for him in the end zone so he could beat the record, you can see him set back to pass, read the coverage and start to run it in. Along the way Zach Miller our TE got open and you could see wilson look at him and think about a short pass for a split second, but then he tucks the ball and runs in. I guess afterwards they asked about it, and he said he thought about passing the ball but thought "no, thats not me I'm going for the sure thing", turned out to be the winning touchdown. He's a class act, I'm glad to have him as a Seahawk.

The teams I would like to see win are:
Bengals (they are just due) Colts (the defense will have to step up again like last week) Vikings (AP deserves it) Seahawks (just because I like them) In reality I think it will be: Texans (could be close) Ravens (If they feed Ray Rice the ball, if not Flacco will be the Colts best friend) Packers (dome team going to Green Bay, not very promising) Seahawks (hottest team in the NFL right now).

I like your picks with the 'Skins/Hawks guys
I think your picks are very good in reality Royce, the only ones I feel like could easily go the other way is the Bengals/Texans and Colts/Ravens. (I also totally agree with the 'like to see' picks). If the Texans pick it back up they should handle the Bengals, I just don't like the direction they are headed right now. And the Ravens, who the heck knows. I just like the way the Colts are headed right now, just getting better every game it seems. The Ravens are way to hot and cold, and recently mostly cold with the exception of the last game. I think your picks are very likely going to be the right ones, but I'm still going with upsets in the first two. They all have the makings for a good game though, really.
