I'd call John at Bullet Cams, 662-893-5670. They make cams for Pro Stocks and Pro Streets or for the hobbyist. Bullet will email you an in-depth questionaire and can recommend/grind a cam for your application.

X2 with what Michael said, you won't be disappointed.
I think a cam change alone would help what you currently have, but add heads etc. and that thing will wake right up. As for the carb, if it runs well right now I would leave it be, it should be close enough to run. If the vacuum etc. falls way off with the new parts it may need more attention, but I'm all for using a known working part and getting it right once it's running. And I can't imagine why anyone would try to talk you out of a 427... awesome motors.

ive used bullitt in the past on a mouse motor, with good success. i was hoping that someone had a build simular to mine to give me a { real world opinion} on what i should try for this combo. also i forgot im running 355 gears and a 4 spd. it will see occasional strip pulls, and but i want it street friendly. thanks for the replys.

Also your cam choice is mostly dependent on compression ratio. You don't mention pistons.
Talk you out of a 427???

Suggest using LSM or Bullet. I've had both in 408, 421, 427, 434 and 436. The LSM cam was spec'd to help in ways I was skeptical about but proved true. Both great. I prefer LSM.
