Well, I first noticed it missing about Wednesday, but was occupied with the B/J Scottsdale auction on Speed, so wasn't too concerned at the time.

Now that B/J is over and Mecum at Kissimmee was scheduled to be aired on Velocity, I'm gettin' a bit ticked...

hmm, I should've mentioned, we've got DISH Satellite. Velocity was channel 364....

Yeah, I agree, although it seems they're running out of new programming lately....or should I say, the repeats are now considered played out.

When is the next scheduled broadcast of Mecum in Kissimmee? Wondering if they may show it on the Discovery channel ?

AMC channel and some other networks have been advertising a lot here about how Dish has, or will be, dropping their programming and asking viewers to call them and complain. I believe it has to do with money (doesn't it always?). Maybe Velocity was next on the chopping block.

While it is true that the parent company is looking to reinvent the channel once again after three previous attempts for the moment it remains Velocity on the books.

I would call your cable/sat provider customer service line and see if they discontinued it or pushed it out to the back 40 higher channels.

I lost Velocity about 6 months ago when I dropped "Dish on Demand". You can still get it tho, it is on one of Dishes "TEST" channels. I get it on channel 5710. You can not get the programming guide or the description of what's playing tho. I look up Velocity programming online so I know when to tune in or record. Good luck!

Yep, 5710 it is ! And from the advertising (commercial)I seen, what little I watched, Mecum/Kissimmee coverage starts Wednesday, 23rd.

keep in mind that you will also get stuck with whatever other useless channels that the company that owns Velocity wants you to have, too..

Its still 364 on Dish. But now there's not much on it in the way of car shows and what car shows they are running are old.

Well, as it turns out, Velocity and 3 other channels were part of the "Blockbuster Movie Pass", which I just cancelled ! Had no idea....the package was put together 1 year ago and the movie pass is no longer a freebie, so I let it go.

Obviously Velocity is running short on up to date programming. It's a spin-off of the Discovery Channel, thus the reason they now show the other stuff....

Thanks again to Scottie for the tip. Until they improve the programming or pull the "Test" channel, I'll be running channel 5710 and checking the on-line guide for programming.
