What is everyone running in these? i have a really cool Quicksilver that is hacked down, cut, welded, etc to fit. My only reason for changing it is that it is a very old shifter and it does not have the pin that you take out for overdrive 4th gear. I cannot drop it down to first gear because of this. I am wanting something that looks good but does not have to alot of modification. i am running my original 4 spd shifter plate with the plastic tunnel taken out.. it kind of looks like a 4 spd shifter in it... i hate to buy a new $250 plus shifter and completely hack it up to fit. Any suggestions?

B&M makes three kinds of Mega Shifters, one for a truck "tall" and one for a car "shorter", and one for a console. The console model is for second and third gen cars, might need the old style boot to make it look like a four speed.

I have a B&M Pro Ratchet in my stock console, I made brackets and custom fit some pieces so no modifications had to be done to anything (except the shifter cover). I think it looks good and it works awesome.

You bet. The first one is to show how I made the mount to bolt right over the stock bolt holes and position the shifter in the middle of the opening, not required but it was not hard either.
Second picture is without the aluminum plate I made showing the wiring and how it fit in there, then the last one is the finished product. It took a few hours of a day to do, but not a hard install and worth every second, I like the old horseshoe but I race mine and the ratchet is awesome for that, one hand operation and positive shifts. ![]() ![]()
