Real nice looking car. For all that effort I probably would have went back to original, but that is just me. Factoryexhaust.smog ect. I also wouldn't have painted as many things under the car,I think it needs more natural finished metal. I wonder if the new front end and brake parts ect involved throwing away the original date code correct born with stuff. I would have figured out a way to rivet in the ball joints if that was correct. That price I getting up there, and with Jerry papers and all that effort,it could have been a better restoration. I wonder what the deal with the cross ram and hood are. I wonder if they have any history with the car such as dealer or early owner install ect.

Won't comment on the TT, but looks like a nicely done car, with lots of money obviously spent (despite the body drain plug being upside down, the replacement voltage regulator, etc); I like it a lot.
Question about the video clip, for those familiar with cross-ram cars: is the idle speed usually that high, or would that still be warming up, with the choke on?

Not trying to bash the car BUT Lack of a Wiper Motor Headlite Washer solenoid and hoses/hardware make me wonder if the trim tag is Real or was added if the car was converted to RS, as the Grille and headlite Doors fit terrible. Engine Pad looks real IMO. Nice looking car, with a ton of incorrect and repo parts, HHMMM, wonder if it was inspected by MacNeish before or after the Resto?

I have to agree on the engine idle being too fast, although its something that can be changed in minutes. Personally I would want to hear the effects of that lump stick every time I ran it.

I agree looks like another repo tag. Here is a real X-33 Z/28 that just went through a complete frame off rotisserie restoration that is similar. Will be listed soon.

Did you guys even look at the underdash pics ? see no cotter pins etc. This is not a driver or if it is it is very dangerous. Brake pin is falling out, clutch rod has no cotter pin

Putting a car back together is a lot work; easy to get distracted, especially with people/friends stopping by to see the project. That's why I always setup a "check-list" to track installations. Once I'm done with the car, I go back over the entire list, marking off each item (one more time)as I visually verify correct/complete installation. Another practice I've adopted; I will not install a piece of hardware without completing the installation, it's just too easy to forget to comeback to it a week or month later.

In my opinion, that's an original trim tag and it's a good fit for the VIN: 124379N643849.

My buddy's shop gets 2-3 high dollar "bought on ebay" cars a year were it costs the new owner $800 - $1500 in little stuff to make the cars road worthy.
