Anyone heard from Dave recently? I sent him a pm, but never got a response. Even called his cell phone and left a message. It has been a couple of weeks and I just wanted to be sure he is OK. His last post was toward the end of May.

He is a real asset to this site. If anyone has any info, please pm me.

Posted here because he spent a lot of time here and on the tag team forum.

But anyways... I'm pretty much out of the car/resto stuff. Completely burned out on it all. Not the first time it's happened, but I have ZERO interest in it anymore.

It happens to the best of us... I took about 10 years and didn't even look at a car other than to drive it.

Hopefully you return with a renewed vigor and passion for the hobby.

As far as the car stuff goes, it doesn't feel like I'll ever get back to it, but who knows. I'm on the other side of 30 now and I've been doing this stuff for about as long as I can remember. I'm still not 100% out of it, but I'm pretty close.

I am RaAirDaves dad, and I appreciate your kind words. We all have times that we get burnt out on things and that sometimes changes. I am one of the guys that has enjoyed the restoration of these cars and have been doing so for 50 years now as a serious hobby. Dave started when he was a toddler with my first 69 Camaro bought in the 70's and restored in the mid 80's, still have that car and 33 more Camaros followed. Like to hear from you guys!

I still get over your direction from time to time. Since you and I met at your shop, I married the gal whose parents live in Russelville (or as you call it Russvegas). Best move I ever made.

Know how u feel Dave..
I have spent the last 40 odd year, clasics, vintage rods etc...
Coming up end of summer here, and My wife and I (mainly her idea intially) to move our lives in a new direction.. thinking of getting a small cabin boat for next summer, do some fishing..(we have some of the best in the world around us)
Im thinking how big a boat will hook u to the rear of the Camaro...
The worry is leaving the trailer and Camaro in car parks for the day... even the odd over night stint
Yeah there comes a piont , espec after the children left home, that we look to a new direction in our lives....and that in its self is quite exciting.
