One owner 69 Camaro,(yep, bought it new )RS SS Hugger Orange, L88, 4:10's spool, ducted hood, Endura, spoilers. TH400 (CX) GV OD, 8 track still on console and best et 10.862, 124.24mph 1.478 60' All with 1960's stuff. Hagerty has good taste in colors. But, Cudas were not Plum Crazy. Cudas were In-Violet. It's like Hugger orange and Carousel red.

I believe the same color was called something different for the Corvette in 69. funny that "Hugger Orange" is the one that stuck.

My '69 T-Top was a Monaco Orange car. Same as Hugger.

Corvette colors back in those days were named after famous race tracks...

Joe, did I ever tell you how that happened? No? Here's the short version. Since high school I was going to buy red. Then I saw HO and thought, hmm, haven't got the kahonna's for that color, I'll stick with red. Then the day came and I drove to the dealer to place the order. As I pulled into the lot I said to myself, "self, screw it, get orange" Ta da!
That turned out to be the long version.

I used to own a '70 Grabber Blue Mach I (& wish I still did). That color with black accents was the perfect color combo for that car.
