ok, when i get the 69 back to ca, i plan on building a rotissory<?... i spoke to the guys at por 15, and they said, it cant be apply'd over E.D.P coats....is it really worth going through the trouble, of removing the E.D.P coating, and getting the whole undercarriage to bare metal, to apply por 15?... i was told, that the E.D.P coating isnt a permanent protectant for the undercarriage...cause of water, debris chipping the E.D.P coating, exposing the bare metal, then letting rust set in...what do you guys suggest for protecting the undercarriage?

POR-15 makes a topcoat you can use. POR-15 itself should go on bare metal. I wouldn't go to the effort of stripping the EDP. Some use bedliner material, DP90 epoxy primer ( I like but don't have spray equipment) or undercoating.

True, por is supposed to be used over rusty metal.EDP is very thin so it does need to be topcoated with something.I would undercoat or paint.
