I have found a small ground strap coming off the firewall on the driver's side, but it isn't connected to anything. It isn't too long but I can see or figure out what it was attached to. Anyone know? It is about 1/4" wide and maybe 15-18" long. Thanks

It could go to the subframe or the valve cover depending on where it is located on the firewall. It's part of a radio option so won't effect the cars electrical system.

Thanks Dennis. It should reach the cover, so that's likely it.

If it's a radio equipped V8, there should be three ground straps. One from firewall to inside of drivers side valve cover. One from firewall to inside of passenger side valve cover. And the last one from lower passenger side firewall to passenger side frame member.

Actually there are 4. The last one goes from the frame to the inner wheel well housing front on the passenger side, inside the wheel well opening.
