Default 69 quarter install help

I am test fitting a quarter panel on my 69 Camaro. The quarter were cut off when I got the car. What would be the distance where I have drawn the arrows. Is the distance the same on both ends? Thanks

Just checked mine (original quarters) and came up with a pretty consistent 1 1/4" front and back on both sides. I think that dimension tends to vary a bit based on some past threads, but mine is consistent.

That's about what I got on mine too... but remember if it's off 1/16" or so on either end, the window felts will absorb the difference since they are rubber. I would aim for even all the way, but not 100% crucial. Hope this helps.
