If your engine is setting that low you may have a problem with the fan hitting the shroud. Here is a pic of the clearance you should have. It has to be in your mounts.

You might be able to gain some clearance by raising the tail of the transmission.

Roger, How tall is your transmission mount ?

Well I just mocked up the radiator and the fan shroud,It looked good but when I tried to put the bottom clips in It looks like the motor could come up a little, but never did get the shroud in the clips ( man its hard ) ,so I got down my new shroud , Its pretty flimsy and hard to tell whats going on !!! How many inches should be between the top of the shroud and the radiator ??? That might give me a better idea !!! Also if I new what mounts to use I'd be set !!! I did look at the z-bar for my 4spd trans and it looked level !!! If I went to much higher It would put it in a bind !! Does anyone really know how much higher the 2283 mounts will raise the motor over the 2267 mounts ???

The top of the shroud rests on the top of the radiator.

Your engine mount difference in thickness is about 1/2", mounted at approx. 45° would equal about 1/4" minimum rise in height.

You mean the frame mounts ???? The more I look at the manifold in the picture ,Its swept in alot more than mine Thats prob the main problem !!! I'll wait until wensday when I get the 2283 mounts , and go from there !!!! Might need to find a new manifold !!!
