Smile 1968 Camaro Convertible

Nearly there Some pics from today

Popped in at trimmers to check on progress. I was pretty sure I'd never want to drive it with roof up but it looks great. The canvas top looks awesome.
Just waiting on some small parts that were out of stock, should have next week from USA, otherwise interior would have been all done this week.

Thanks Sparky, color is called Red Hot, it is a Holden color here. Probably available on G8's there. I have a HSV E Series Clubsport in the same colour (only need one touch up paint ). Here is a pic of my Clubsport when I first got it, before lowering & tinted windows

Nice.

Is that factory RHD or converted?

How about some underhood shots?

Wow. I really like that seat belt mount. What's the story there. I think I saw some pictures of a shoulder belt option on convertibles in the Fisher Body book....but I've never seen one on a car. Is that totally custom?

It has been converted to RHD, using a steering box & chassis rails out of RHD Impala. Box was sent to DSE who upgraded internals. Then grafted steering box and idler arm mounts into Camaro frame. Custom made drag link. Running Vintage Air system that was converted using 2 units. Couple of pics attached.

Underhood is not quite ready just yet for public unveiling, is currently just very stock LS1.

Hi Guys, thanks for the nice words.

The seat belts are a totally custom solution.
