Very interesting. I wonder what it will go for? No one is looking for that orphan? It amazes me how many 69 Z 28 motors are for sale and none of the thousands of 69 Z 28's out there are not a match. Very interesting indeed.

Motors got yanked for various reasons, cars got wrecked, whatever. There's a POS burned Z in the woods near me and the drivetrain was removed. Tearing cars apart and swapping drivetrains was not unusual. Maybe some people are just not looking or don't care to.

I picked up my first Camaro 69 RS/Z for $1,200 in 1977 and that was the standard price back then and for years forward and allot of them got crushed when people looked at fixing them for rust issues. I just wish I still had that car!
