I have a 94 z28 camaro ti wont crank im getting fire to the coil but there is no fire comin from the coil. i replaced the coil but there is still no fire

hi my name is mavin and I have a 94 z28 that wont crank its turning but not firing. i checked it its getting fire to the coil but no fire is coming from it i changed the coil but there is still nothing idont know what the problem somebody help me. lol

Do u have "fire" ie current? yes?
But is it constant....the current needs to have a brake...as if ther is a switch turning it on and off to get the spark. This is done by pionts opening and closing on a points dizzy or elecronically in the module of a HEI dizzy.
Spark the lead on the terminal of the coil then see if u have a spark out.

If you have no spark and you replaced the coil, I believe the next item is the Opti-spark distributor since you have an LT-1 engine.
GM sells them as well as most aftermarket shops, Summit Racing & JEG's, for a couple choices.

A suggestion for next time you have a problem, would you be a little more descriptive, please?
You said it won't crank; does this mean the engine does not turn over by the starter?
Or does it mean the engine turns over by the starter, but the engine does not start to run and continue to run?

There is a difference between the two choices.
If the engine does not turn over, do you have lights?
If you have lights, do they dim when attempting to start the engine?
If lights dim, do you hear a 'clunk' of the starter pinion gear engaging?
If lights do not dim, are all safety devices engaged - neutral safety switch or clutch safety switch?
The list goes on, but more symptoms you can give us, the better we can help offer suggestions for you to look into, more localized troubleshooting, better finger pointing to the broke component.
