Hi, I have a 68 camaro and replacing the grill. I do not know what is the correct color. I've seen both all black and some with grey and black center grill. I'd like to keep it the same way that it rolled out of the factory. Yes just spraying it black would be easier. Thanks for this great site with correct information.

Well, I could be wrong, but only the SS' had black grills. All the rest were silver. Go here and reserch:

I have a 68 Camaro SS and my grill is the original one and it is black. NOT painted black it is Black plastic and the SS emblem is original also and now that I think of it so is the SS gas cap original.

Std. cars got a silver grille. I personally use the wheel argent silver on mine and it looks dead on. I am sure there is someone here who has the correct paint code, etc. for the exact color code or something. I think I read a post a couple of months ago about this same topic. Anyway, the ralley wheel argent silver is a great option.
