Were any of the 3rd generation driver door mirrors just plain manual mirrors? By this I mean not electric or cable controlled. Just adjusted by hand like the 1st generation mirrors. I have a 69 and am thinking of adding 3rd generation mirrors to it. Just wondering if I'll have to cut any holes in the door panel for a controller. Thanks.

Thanks. Thats what I am thinking also. Just wanted to make sure though. I am thinking of changing my door mirrors to 2nd or 3rd generation style. And want to know what cutting in the door panels I might have to do.

the 2nd gen mirror has remote cables...i think it would take only a 5 eights hole in the door panel to accomodate...also i believe some of the gen2`s had no remote at all...
