Thats a pretty open-ended question.

Converted a 73 last spring.

Most of the vendors offer a kit to convert. Clutch pedal rod, bellcrank, clutch linkage, brackets, return spring. Had to buy a set of used pedals. For the trans crossmember, that will depend on which trans you are going to use, and if there is one available or if you have to modify one.

We bought a conversion kit from a local dealer, probably the same that can be bought from most resto vendors.

The only thing we had to get used was the pedals. Might be available now, not sure.

I just conveted my 78 Z28 to a five speed and i love it. i spent a total of a wopping $800.00. Go to SS396.com and get the whole linkage kit which is about $250, buy a new flywheel and clutch and a used 5-speed from a 3rd gen camaro and an older style bellhousing and your good to go...
