Default '96 v6 3.8L 5-Sp. clutch smelling funny....

Hey all....I have a '96 v6 3.8L 5-speed RS that I purchased from someone last April that was giving it away at $3,500...anyways...everytime I drive that thing around, and I pull up to park, get out, it smells as though I'm burning something. I don't have an oil leak, nothing's running hot, so MAYBE it could be the pressure plate for the clutch? I don't "stand" on it when I shift or anything, and it is the original clutch in the tranny. It's got about 138,400 miles on it so far, and runs pretty decently for an 11 year old car. Could I be right about it being a pressure plate problem, or could it be the clutch assembly giving out after 11 years of faithful service? Suggestions? Ideas? Quantum theories?
