I am considering a 87 z28 that is perfect condition minus long block and transmission. I plan on putting a 350 with carb, and a 2004r. Does that sound ok so far? I may need a new crossmember? But my real question is do use the fuel pump from the tank or do I switch the car to the block mounted mechanical fuel pump? Will the fuel pressure be ok with a carburator if I use the fuel pump in th etank? I imagine I can install a fuel pressure regulator? Or would it be easier to just use a mechanical pump? Thanks again James

The in tank pump will produce to much pressure, so you could either replace it with a low pressure pump or install a non-fi sending unit and install a block mounted pump. I f you go with an electric in tank pump you will still need a fuel pressure regulator.

Where do I get a non FI sending unit? DO I just get one from a cmaro or firebird that originally came with a carb? Thanks again.
