Please expand on your experiences...

In 1998, I built up an 86 K5 Blazer, a 350 with edelbrock heads, mild cam, and a Holley 4bbl TBI System with the commander 950 and closed loop. I had an absolute blast tuning this thing, driveability and performance were excellent.

I can't wait to do it again, the Camaro will get an EFI system within the next year.

Personally, I love the Edelbrock Pro-Flo system. Nothing was more fun to tune, work or play with. Was open loop first, then got an O2 sensor and went closed loop....
Pulled off the UPS truck at 1030 and driving around by 1500...went thru disassembly of carb'ed motor and assembly of EFI!! It was awesome.

I've installed and tuned FAST, Accel Gen VII, and Big Stuff 3 as far as aftermarket units. I've also tuned and burned proms on a 93 GM system with a TTS system (Vette), Ford EEC-V with SCT Racer Pro software (Lightning), and GM LS-2 GTO with HP Tuners.

The thing I've found from most of these is the tune is the key, they can all do a good job with the proper tune. Some have more bells and whistles than others.

I am thrilled to see this section added, this will save me tons of search time.

At this time I have yet to order a engine, I am a lil concerned about EFI hassles. I really want to go efi , Im thinkin hard about a ramjet system..on the other hand I have been leaning towards the zz4 lately for pure simplicity.

Lack of disposable funds atm are allowing me way to much time to ponder everything i wanna do on this car. But I did finally order my trans..LOL i had no choice since the old one finally bit it.

Well, I've been involved with GM EFI systems since 1985. I was fortunate enough to have attended many GM EFI schools while working as a dealership tech.

I've mostly worked with TPI and TBI, but I really like the Street and Performance systems.

Hey guys, new to the forum, but not all that new to EFI.

I have had loads of experience with the TPI......(speed density and mass air flow systems) and TBI setups. I am now taking on my first LT-1 system to go in my 69.

It's good to see this topic. I hope that I can supply a few people with some help.

I guess the best way to learn about these compicated systems are to use the trusty search bar. Thats the way I did it when I was learning about the TPI.

Thumbs up Re: How bout starting this out with a poll?

Being in the process of helping a friend convert his SB over to TPI right now, this is a timely forum

The parts are getting easier and easier to find, even at the low-cost 'Pick-N-Pull' places

I have done this swap on my own vehicles, several friends vehicles and even converted my 90's SB Ski-boat to a TPI/LT-1 set-up, with the help of Arizona Speed & Marine to get the ECM and fuel map correct.
I maintain and service all of our modern family fuel injected vehicles and am leaning more and more to converting my '77 P.U. and the '68 to EFI.
With proper service, and diagnostic tools to identify the occational problems, they are a pleasure to own and drive.

Looking forward to input and projects discussed in this forum;
John M.

I've had experience with both FAST XFI and LSX injection. Both are awesome, but the LS gets the winner for simplicity.

So far, "others" has the #2 spot. For someone interested in buying a system can we narrow that down a little?

I voted other, although technically I didn’t convert anything. But after some trial & error, I had a good running, highly responsive modified 350 Crossfire FI car.
