gmpartsdirect has the LS7 on sale for another week.
$11,800.00 !!

They usually have much higher shipping/handling hidden costs to make up for any price differences though.

12k for one butt ugly motor.Build a 540 that wins at the track and woos the crowd at the burger joint for less $.

I doubt you can build a nicely built up 540 for that much less, not to mention the driveability of an LS7 would be worlds above that of the BBC, it would get probably double to triple the gas mileage, and it comes with a warranty that you can just goto any Chevy dealership and have them take care of.
