OK,
I am wondering what the pros and cons of using a fuel cell over the stock tank for an EFI application. Except for the trunk space I will lose using a fuel cell what are the advantages or disadvantages of each? Does using a fuel cell mean I will have fumes all the time? Is it easier to set up than a stock tank would be? I am trying to find the easiest and least expensive way to get my tank in order for my EFI setup. "TANKS" (Sorry bad joke!!) Mark TOOFUN |

Use ur original tank. all thats needed is a fule return line...not hard to make. comes from fuel line all the way back into the tank. seen a few were guys would just take the sending unit out and add another hole for the fuel return...

If you do you use a stock tank you will need to either install a pump inside with a sump , or do a sump off the bottom and draw your fuel from there . These stock tanks don't have the baffles you need to keep fuel at the pump . I have a rock valley and if i'm below half a tank it will fall on its face when banging second and third , between half and full no problem .

Really?!?! I've never had that problem with a rock valley tank. My 69 ragtop worked fine and I have run the tank dry in the 67. Never had a problem until I actually ran out of gas (due to the malfunctioning fuel gauge), no fuel delivery problems using their tanks in my experience anyway.

I've had the pleasure of experiencing "banging second & third" in Mark's car.
Considerable G forces are involved. If it was falling on it's face, I was too busy trying to catch my breath to notice. He might consider mounting the tank ahead of the engine? One of those lil round Moon's perhaps?

It would look cute with a lil round moon tank hanging under the bumper Mark!
You could hook it up like a surge tank, and have all the gravity fed fuel you'll ever need. Gauges are OK, all done for now. Gonna try some adjusting on the backup set of angle rings I bought, would like to get more of the angle off them. Been raining all day, haven't gotten her outa the garage.
