I'm in the middle of a 1 1/2 in hotchkis rear conversion...so similar but not as radical with the 3 in....wow thats gonna be Looow! I dont know what your kit includes my conversion has been a challenge and i dont want to bore you with elementary stuff you may know...what exactly are you looking for, problems, stuff to look for, things you have to come up with...or do you want me to give you the whole explanation...I dont mind if you do

I can give you the u-bolt size which is plenty long for what ever spring you got...you have to drill the axle plate and shock connector plate out to 5/8ths to allow for the u-bolt...the perches i have were about 1/2 inch thick polyurethane that under 45# torque are now about 1/4 thick. The shackles are 1/4 x 5-1/4 inch.I need to run out to my shop and I'll give you the shackle bolt size and u-bolt size...so I'll post that in a minute.

The u-bolts are 8-1/4 inches long from outside of the top to bottom...it is 4-1/4 across the -u- outside and it is 1/2 in bolt size....might have a problem here ...its grade 8. The shackle bolts are 1/2 x 5-1/4...with a lock nut...also grade 8...let me know if you need something else.
