Unfortunately after alomst 3 years I have not yet completed this car... I am going to list the car for sale locally soon. Dont want to do the E-BAY thing, (makes it hard being that the car is in Hawaii). Need to know if 20K is too unreasonable for the Camaro in its current condition...
Breif description: 69 Camaro SS/RS L-78 (found locally, been sitting (garaged and covered) since the late 70's. Absolutely NO rust anywhere, all panels, floor, and trunk is clean and orignal. Never been hit or repaired. Orignal drivetrain incl. 396 L-78 (complete from top to bottom) M-21 and 3.55 rear. Interior is orignal and in perfect condition. What I've done so far: Recently painted (very nice job) Garnet Red (orig color) Motor completely rebuilt to stock specs. (has not been fired-up yet) Rebuilt the rearend (has the stock 3:55'S) trans rebuilt also Front brakes rebuilt Ths Camaro has 4 17 Billet Spec. Vintec Dish (but have four steel XT'S with the dog dish caps, painted Garnet Red) Installed 2" drop front springs and 2" drop leafs by HOTCHKISS(I have the orignal front springs and rear leafs on the side) Orignally a non-spoiler car but I have an extra trunk lid with a spoiler installed. Now for the fun part: Things that need to be completed: Install the front and rear glass (both are factory and in exc. cond.) Install the RS components and grill. Install the front and rear bumpers. (New repos, Orignals are a little pitted) Install the interior (bought new carpet and dashpad and pkg tray) Install the vinly top (new black) Apply/Paint the SS stripe (bought the decal/stencil kit) Black out the tail pan, and rockers. Install exhaust (bought new chambered exhaust) Rear breaks to be rebuilt... Install emblems, handles and locks I have pretty much have every part needed to complete (Im sure im missing a few things though) If not the orignal part then a repop part. The combination of having no time, no money and a newborn have forced me to sell... Im sure I'll come across another... So do you guys think 20K is about right? Thanks The Camaro is dusty sorry....And the garage is a mess...

How much would it cost to send it to Maryland? If thats a documented L78 your giving it away. I'll take it!!

Where do I sign? Mine is worth way more than 20K to me and yours is MUCH farther along then mine! I would reconsider if at all possible.
Good luck to you. |

For 20K, I'd fly over and buy it. Any ideas of transportation cost to Europe. 20k is half of what that car would cost here. I'd take it.

I agree with everyone above. I am in about the same position you are on my car. Ask for way more and let the buyers make an offer.

Some were wondering on shipping from Hawaii. Non-running cars need to be containerized and then taken to Matson for shipping. I recently shipped a one from here to Las Vegas for just under $2,400. Keep in mind thats with taking it to Honolulu Container Storage where they blocked/braced it and then they took it to Matson. It went from the port here to the Long Beach port and then was picked up by a carrier and transported to Vegas. The car remained in the same container the complete trip. Bob at Honolulu Container Storage made all the transport arraingements and he can get the car shipped to anywhere needed. Of course the further away the higher the cost. Thats with me dropping the car off. Nice thing is Bob let me stay and take pictures while it was placed into the box and they put their security seal on it and I put two of my own locks on it as well.
