Default Shaved gas cap

Does anybody have any pics. of shaved gas caps on a 67-68. I am trying to decide if I want to go ahead and do it while the car is getting it's sheetmetal work done. Any pics or opinions would be appreciated. I'm already going to have to get an aftermarket gas tank anyways.

Easy enough to do with photoshop...

I like it better with an SS cap.

I like it, what is that off of or where can I buy it? Is that just a fuel cell?

I like it too. I've see a few with the aircraft filler lid. Where do you buy, and how difficult is it to install?

Go to www.pro-touring.com and look for the gas cap thread. Larry is going to have them produced but it is taking him awhile. I talked him out of a prototype. I'm sure he will love even more people hounding him. It is a great piece and it locks. My car has a Ricks custom tank but he is designing them to attach to a stock tank.

I bought one of those gas caps from a place in Florida that imports them. Installing it was the easy part, but I am still working on how to get the fuel in right because of the angles. Check out my site, there is a pic or two there. I will look up where I bought it and post later.

Charley, all of us 67-8 guys are jealous of you having the "one". I can't wait until Larry gets everything together and is able to sell them to everyone else. Wished it hasn't taken so long though.

No offense but those are some of the most rickety looking jack stands that I've ever seen. My intent is not to be rude and only in consideration of your safety thought would be wise to consider springing for some new ones.
