Want to know what with 9 inch on 69 camaro with DSE mini tub 3 inch kit and 335 tires. I want housing to be short as possible to give rim less backspaceing.(4.75 or 5 inch). I need to cut down housing so i can order moser axles. Any help is app. Thanks,Kevin

you need your wheels and choice brakes before you go narrowing your rear axle... set them in place and measure .. most camaros , though the same car, will come out with different measurements!!! even some ive heard come out with an offset pinion after measurung and mocking !!!

Mock it up and measure. Don't rely on somebody else's measurements.

We do a 55" rear with a 6" back space on a 12" rim for 335s. If you have balls you could go 53" on the rear and a 5" backspace. Usually they are dead on or need a 1/4" spacer to move them out. If your not going to mock up and measure, you are much better to error to much backspace.
Also, when you are ready for axles let me know, we will set you up with Moser's

Thanks Frank, I have used GP store before and think you and Lisa are doing a wonderful thing for the people that has car bug in their blood. I have a 52 1/2'' 9 inch housing. I just want about 4.75 or 5'' BS for a little dish look, but not to much. Thanks,Kevin

I am talking about 55" wheel flange to flange, not housing width. You should add 5 inches to your assembled housing, so that is a 57 1/2" rear, which would make for a 7 1/4" backspace on 12", and about a 4" to 4 1/4" lip on the outside.
And thanks for the kind words.
