I'm not sure what to do.
The engine I bought supposibly ran great! I bought an Air Gap, a Holley 600 cfm, an HEI and headers. I'm not sure if I should add a cam? It's a 65' 327 high HP with Double Hump heads. I know I need to replace the timing chain, but should I change the cam and lifters? I'm nervous about adjusting the valves. It runs great now and I don't want to screw it up, but a new cam sounds like it's something I should add.

It's not hard to change a cam and lifters. I do think that if it is your first time you should definately get a manual or book on the matter there are several good ones out there.
