Question Dash Facing...

I'm on a roll and figured why stop now? The heater box (inner and outer) are both out, cleaned, and painted. Firewall insulation (old stuff) gone and will be replaced. My question? Does the dash facing (the part you see while driving) come out as a seperate piece or is it somehow welded?

The pad across the top of the dash comes off, but the dash itself is welded in. You'll see the welds once the pad is off.

Is it scratched or dented real bad? I just repainted mine and it looks really good! Of course I had the gauges out, the ash tray, and glove box. I think it took longer to tape everything off than it did to paint.

I think that is the direction I am headed as well. I just figured it would be easier to do off, but, oh well.

Oh yeah, I can grind really well too. Sparks everywhere.

The hardest part is trying to spray inside the window vents. Good Luck!
