I'm beginning the installation of my 950 TBI system on a ZZ4 motor. First, i only have one location on my intake manifold (Performer RPM) for a soolant temp sensor and it's currently being used for my temp gauge. Where should i install the temp sensor for the Holley system?
second question has to do with the MAP sensor. Nowhere in the Holley installation instructions is any mention of how or where to install this. Help? lastly, i asked the question a couple weeks ago about my distributor. I'm running a standard HEI right now. I heard that if i switch to a MSD model 8366 i can then utilize the timing control of the system. Is it that simple or will i ned additional parts/pieces/adaptors to make that switch? i am also currently running a MSD 6AL. thanks guys

The MAP sensor can be mounted anywhere but requires a vacuum line to the engine manifold.
You can mount the temp sensor in the head if you have room. You can use a third-gen distributor, or equivalent. The MSD 8366 should also work. Just plug it in and go. You still need to set the distributor timing once installed. The ECM does not know where the distributor is installed. So, once you get the car running set the distributor timing using a timing light to the same timing number that the ECM displays.

Thanks Carl. I did install the temp sensor in the head just tonight - i figured there had to be a spot for it and sure enough...
Can i run the vacuum for the MAP sensor from the full vacuum port on the throttle body? or does it have to be directly out of the intake?

As long as the port is full manifold vacuum it should be fine.
