Well, I finally got to the track Friday with the '68 and made two test passes. This engine has been sitting collecting dust for about 4 years so I'm comfortable with the results so far.
Setup: 400 sbc, 10.5:1, old iron 23* heads, Holley 750, 1-3/4" headers, 3" Borlas, TH-400, 4.10 rear, Caltrac bars and mono-leafs, 3320 lbs, driven almost daily. Performance: 60 ft = 1.58; quarter mile = 11.38 @ 118 mph. http://good-times.webshots.com/video...ost=good-times http://good-times.webshots.com/video...ost=good-times The combo was not tuned at all, was on street tires spinning in first gear, and it was 96 degrees and very humid. So I'm certain there is 2-4 tenths left to find. Then I can start to get serious about things... ![]() Jim

WOW! I would be comfortable with that too. I have a something of the same set up but a 4spd I would love to get at least in the high 12's. With some tuning you might get in the 10's!!! Congrats!

Thanks guys. I thought my build thread would never end... She'll be fun for a real streeter. Especially with the new nitrous kit...
