Hey Shocker - I apologize, I moved your last post to the sponsor forum thinking one of them would have spoke up and have a deal you could get in on. I guess not, they didn't reply... Good luck in your search.

I'm looking to. I called va and they were under 1100. But make sure what you need and kind of pulley system you have. Gen 4 for sure.
Does any know what is involved in installing this kit with s/s lines and bulkhead instead of hoses thru the firewall. |

Vintage Air sells at full retail only and does not discount, VA direct is $1295 + shipping (about $80 to $100) for a Gen IV. The old style Sure Fit is what they have for $1095 + Shipping.
Dennis, He called us, we offered him a deal, but he wanted to beat us up more. Our deal stands. |

In a related question... do they sell Gen IV units that are specific to the '67-'68 Camaro? I hear everybody referencing either the Sure Fit, or the Gen IV... but the two seem mutually exclusive.

The lowest price is not always the best deal. Service is a big part of the equation. Just because it's the same product doesn't mean you get the same service from the seller.

Our sponsors did not get to be sponsors because they threw cash at the site owner. It takes more than that. They are all active members here, they help us without regard to whether we're putting in thier stuff or thier competitors. Frank answers his own phone. THAT's Customer Service. His help and advise when specing and installing my Wilwood brake system was always there when I needed it, and his response when I came up with a bad part was nearly "yesterday" I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from GP Superstore again. I'm thinking about A/C, and that will be the first and most likely only call I'll make.

What additional features does the Gen IV come with? In speaking with a lot of guys at the Super Chevy Show this last weekend, it was almost unanimous that the Gen IV wasn't worth the additional cost. I realize that it's using the Ford GT components, but from what I've heard it's almost overkill. One of the guys I spoke with said he's used 3 VA units prior to his Gen IV in his most recent car. He's going back to the older style on his next build.

I'm also looking for a AC unit. What was the price from GPSUPERSTORE?
Also, anyone have any experience getting their VA Gen IV from ebay? They have it for $1200 shipped and the sure fit for $999 shipped. I plan to have it installed by a ASE cert. mechanic so the service part is not a top priority for me. Thanks Oliver
