68 RS Camaro Headlights
Gday all, new at this but must start somewhere, have just purchased car on recent trip to CA, organising shipping to Australia at moment. Have to purchase a few items over the net seems plenty of companies selling old Chev gear over their. Can anyone advise me on front head lights, i understand 68s used vaccum however is the electric system better, grilles are all on car, should i get complete Kit and start fresh.

To answer your question quickly from my experience with both systems, I would prefer to have the Vacuum type doors. They are generally less problem prone, easier to maintain and are not hard to find parts for still. I have helped with one of the Repop/Retrofit electrical systems and IMHO the components, connectors and wiring were not the best quality - I expect he will have problems with it long into the future. If I had the choice to convert a non-RS car to RS front trim, I would chose a full front 'Clip' over any kit I've seen so far - again IMHO.
