Default pushing thru the tcc...

hey guys, i`ve got a 2004r in my car, and i love the od!!!i`m running a bto vb and converter in it...i recently noticed that i can push right thru the tcc when in lock-up at minimal throttle...suxxx... this trans was a shelved unit that was kicking around the shop for a few years before i installed it, so i`m thinking the o-ring on the input shaft may have been dry rotted, and i didnt notice it... could this be my problem...or is the bto converter a POS???how bout the solenoid???i have the tcc solenoid wired to a lighted console switch, so i usually leave it engaged all the time on the hiway...i dont get way into the throttle without flipping outta the l-u, but its slipping at mild acceleration...my car isnt a gunship by any means...its prolly 300 hp, so i dont feel i should be able to push thru it ,especially at light to medium acceleration...right???on our dynamic 2004r, we couldnt overcome the l-u clutch at medium acceleration in the nova...(although we never actually tried to slip the l-u clutch)and that car`s 750 or so hp...if its just the solenoid or the o-ring, do you guys think i cooked the l-u clutch???how can i tell short of cutting the converter apart,or re-installing???all the help is appreciated...

I thought you could adjust TCC lock-up on that tranny? I dont think BTO is junk. If clutch was slipping you could certainly smell it, I would think.
Hmmm.....

the converter clutch is inside of the torque converter...it is locked up via a pressure signal sent thru the input shaft and makes a direct connection between the motor and trans instead of the inhearent slippage of a fluid coupling...i dont think i would be able to smell it until i changed the fluid and it smelled burnt, and looked black...i dont really think they are junk either...i`m just a little peaved that i`ll prolly have to pull the trans to fix this problem...lol...whatever, just another day in the hood, right harley...lmao...
