Default Rear Suspension

So I finally am going to suck it up and want to beef up the suspension. I have the original leaf springs (that have been bent back to shape once) and know that it is time to get new everything.

However, I don't know a lot about suspension. If anybody could give me some links where I could start teaching myself about it that would be awesome. Or if you have opinions on what is good that would be great too. Thanks.

PS I have a 1971 Camaro w/ zz4 crate motor, tremec 5 speed, posi 12 bolt rear end, 3.73 gears (is that enough info?)

Contact Eaton Spring b/c they probably have a pair of h-h leaf springs that will do you fine in their 1,000's upon 1,000's of spring spec's..

OR if you want to spend some cash for SPECIAL springs, then contact Chicane and have him set you up with a pair of the h-d CUSTOM made traction-bar eliminator springs w/ the 2nd leaf that wrap's partially around the front spring eye's..

What do you want to do with the car? Drag race, street/strip, handling, mud bog, hill climb, sand drags?

Its just a weekend warrior car....I don't care about rough ride (not like it isn't rough already) I just the body to stay over the tire when I turn...I want it so that when i punch it...you don't see the front fly up and the rear end sink...

You know...I just want it to have that solid look and feel. Not blow your brains out drag or rally racing....but leaning in that direction.

Follow that?
