Default measurments

I'm looking for body measurements. I've found frame measurements, but in need of measurements in the door area. I need them from back to front,so I can brace it properly. She is a 1967 vert and is flexing a bit. Anyother information with #'s would greatly be appreciated.

Im not sure you are being specific enough with your question. Back of the door...back of the car to the back of door... quarter panel to the fender???? More info would help. Kevin

The question is specific enough, but...

With car to car variability, difference in measuring points and measuring devices, etc., it can be tough to get meaningful info.

Is this bracing your adding a long term fix, or just to hold it while you replace something that's rotten, like rockers or floor or???

Do you have the 67 Assembly Instruction Manual (AIM), and/or the 67 Fisher Body Manual (FBM)? It may be that the best way to approach it is to jack/crib it up underneath at key points, make sure the door to quarter, door to rocker, and door to fender gaps are in spec, and then tack your bracing in. That way, you're setting it up in a way that you now will work for your car, and aren't going to result in some nasty surprise later when you find out I measured from the stickout for the door jamb switch to the striker mount, and you measured from the bottom of the telephone indent to the 4th hinge bolt hole, and you have to shave the door.

If you got body flex the rockers are shot and should be done.

As for the door measurements,No car will be the same everyone would measure from differnt points so youd end up with alot of numbers, What I did was jacked and twisted the body to get the gaps where I wanted them, Then -X- braced the door opening. Did that side put the door back on and checked that everything was good, then final welding BEFORE doing the other side.

Take as many measurements off your car as possable.
