Default Accel SuperRam back from PowderCoating

What do you think. It was powdercoat or JetHot. I'm starting to think I should have sent it to Jet Hot.

The one thing that I learned about cast aluminum parts is that it matters most what you start with. If there is any porosity in the aluminum before you start, it's going to show through most finishes.

I think it looks good. My Holley C950 was professionally blasted and I just cleared it with VHT clear. I think you made a good choice on the color. It looks good to me!

It looks nice, in a kind of subdued "rough cast" kinda way. Hope that was the look you were after.

Jet Hot's "sterling" coating is MUCH shinier, but I'm not sure how good it would look on a rough cast surface.
A company called "Goodrich Industries, Pat 925-432-7782" does the permastar coatings for Edelbrock. They use a very thick primer coat that fills all the pores in the casting, then topcoat with shiny silver that looks very similar to Jet Hot's sterling. I recently had a (very old) intake done by them, it came back looking polished and chromed. It ain't cheap. see this thread: http://www.camaros.net/forums/showth...ight=tarantula
