Default Stock Big Block Fuel Injection

A friend gave me a Big Block TPI from a Suburban for my 69 project. I appears to have come on a 96-99 or so 454 Suburban only. Does anyone have any info on these systems? I am not finding too much information. I like the idea of using fuel injection, but really dont want to spend a couple of grand buying an aftermarket system.

I have the unit/injectors/harness. I will need to get a computer and of course change the fuel delivery system.

Any info passed along would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :+)
Bill

Is it multiport? If so, it would make a pretty good kit.

Yes, it is a MPFI system. It was only made for 4 years, from 1996 - 2000 (per Wikipedia). I am looking for info in using it on my 72 454 that I am putting in a 69 Camaro.

If any of you gurus can help, I would greatly appreciate it :+)

Thanks
Bill

Beware of the factory gm truck efi system from 96 till 99. The fuel injectors crap out and the fuel regulator as the injectors are inside the intake and cost around $600.00 to buy. Gm made a conversion kit to multiport set up with an intake. AS the year 2000 THEY CHANGED to this new set up.
