HI!
i repainted my 87 camaro like 7 times, over and over again, but somehow it just wont look acceptable. Im using paint with same brand thinner, and when im spraying i go slow enough to see a shiny coat apearing, but when its dry its not flat but its all burry. am i spraying to slow/thick? i also think that the paint is drying to fast, is there a way to slow it down? thanx |

I'm no Martin Sr by any measure, but it sounds to me like orange peel.Maybe your thinner is too hot or you are putting in on too dry.
i would recommend you stop painting your car and practice on an old hood or something until you think you have it. |

no im using just blackpaint (carpaint)
from TEOFLUX, with same brand thinner. Its not the kind of paint with hardener. i set my compressor on 4-5 bar i use like 50-50 on the paint/thinner when i finished painting like 10 layors i will wetsand it with grid 1500 and polish it until it shines or untill i loose my tempre again! i restored the whole car myself, and now im stuck with that paint for over a year!!! it makes me sick help |
