Default '69 Power Booster "markings"?

Hey guys. I have a question concerning my power booster in my '69SS 396/325HP. It has come time to replace the master cylinder and booster. I just paid big bucks to Rick's for a "remanufactured original Camaro booster, professionally rebuilt and plated". I choose this model over a repop since I am maintaining my stock SS. The one they show in their catalog has "markings or stamps" on the lower left hand face of the booster.

Is there suppose to be any "markings" on the face of the booster? Like "Delco" or "Morraine"?

The current one in my car (appears to be the original) does not have any markings. This "new" one I got from Rick's also does not have any markings on the face. However, I have been looking at a few pics of other cars on the web and in books and it appears as though a lot of them (but not all) have some markings on the lower left hand side of the booster.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

Donald,
The original booster for my 11d early build '69 350/300 has "DELCO MORAINE" upside down on the bottom left side of the it. It looks just like the upgrade one in Rick's catalog.

I have the original 9204 booster off an 03B Norwood RS/SS I used to own and it has no markings on it if that helps.

My early 10D 9204 has the Delco Moraine upside down lower left too.

Thanks guys for the replies.

Interesting, I wonder if the "Delco Moraine" markings are date specific?

My build is 02D which is pretty close to Barefoot Dave's 03B. I always thought my booster was original and it also has no markings on it. Pics I was looking at last night also seem to confirm some with marks and some with no marks.

Hey, Camaro Billy, nice to hear from you. Now you found out one of my secrets for the Nationals this year!!

Here is the $50 question. Would you keep the "original restored" one I got from Rick's or return it and insist on one with the marks?

Thanks again.
