Default 67 Camaro Steering Column Replacement

I have a question about replacing my stock 67 Steering column with an aftermarket tilt version now that I have switch the shifter from the tree to the floor. I have a power steering. The questions I have are:
1. any suggestion on the supplier
2. and any advise on fit
3. What additional parts will I need to order beside the column to make it work.

Thanks.

Mark

If you search here using "ididit" (one of the aftermarket tilt column suppliers), you'll get quite a bit of reading on the swap and what is available and needed.

I'm doing the column to floor switch next week. I got the Ididit retro tilt column for my 68. It will be the same column for 67. In addition to the column they recommend replacing the U joint.

I used the ididit. Nice piece. As above replace the u-joint or rag joint. I used a new rag joint but plan to change to a u-joint to take out the last bit of slop.

There shouldn't be any slop in a new rag joint.

Slop was probably a little to much for what I actually meant. There is more give in a rag joint than a solid u-joint. Although slight you can tell the difference.

I got a repro column from either D&R or Classic Industries and it was exactly like stock. Put in a new rag joint and bolted it right up.

Thanks for all those who replied. I have another problem needing your expert help. I am also putting in a rack and pinion setup and have been warned of fit issues around the header. I am using a Hedman Header long tube, rack and pinion and an Ididit replacement column with a u joint all from Classics Industries. How do I make the column fit past the header. I talked to several header outfits and non of them stand by their headers using a rack and pinion setup.

I got one from Classic Industries. I don't think it was a repo, I am almost positive it was a rebuild. You would have to ask them.
