I have a 1970 camaro with a 8.2 3.08 rear end . I want the rear to be a posi but I am considering a different rear end from a junk yard. I want either a 8.5 or 12 bolt posi and was wondering what unit would be the easiest to swap in. I debated swaping in a lockright unit but the junkyard price of $200 is very tempting. I was thinking of looking for an axle out of a 1972-79 camaro but dont want to spend the extra money if its no upgrade at all. Looking for all suggestions they will help. Thank you

The 1971 and up rear is the 8.5, so that would be an upgrade right there. The
only 12 bolt , bolt in, would be from a 1970, and they are hard to fond. |
