Default 1969 Camaro Convert Auto to Manual

Budget is the key. Looking to spend $800-1000 total so Tremec is out. What components?. Trans, bell housing, clutch, shifter, pedals, z bar, crossmember, driveshaft. Anything else. Car is a 350/350 car currently.

If you stick a muncie in, then you can re-used the crossmember and driveshaft. You will need a longer speedo cable. If you have a console, you will need a few parts there, boot, plate, etc.

If you find a trans that has a drivers side speedo (a non-camaro trans) your existing speedo cable will fit.
Make sure the trans is a coarse spline input shaft (10 spline)

I did a PG to muncie swap years ago for a grand, found the trans on ebay for around $400, new hurst shifter and install kit ate up $250, found a used bell on ebay cheap, used flywheel cheap, new pedals, linkage, and clutch.

I think you better double your budget to get that job done, now. As Jim said years ago.
