Saw this on U-Tube and was wondering if anybody knows the story? Appears the driver didnt have steering control. Curious as to why...
Looked like a nice car. Chris

That car belonged to a African American guy that used to post here. I don't remember his name, but I do remember him logging on and telling us that the guy driving was one of his associates. The car was obviously totalled, the driver was not seriously hurt, and after the crash the driver bought him another racer to replace the one he totalled

my guess would be air pressure in rear tires to low.you notice the in car shot where he is steering right and left before it crosses the line of no return.to low pressure makes rear of car spongy and sway from side to side.and I think he over corrected.

Yes, this was posted before. The guys are very good (best friends). The engine from that Camaro went into a Mustang owned by the driver in the video. They are members of another site I used to visit regularly. The car was replaced but, the owner lost interest (if I remember correctly). The owner was attending law school (again going from memory so could be a little off) and stepped away from the car thing for a while. They are still friends at least last I heard.
Do a search on this site and you will get all the answers you want. There was nothing wrong with the car. The driver was not used to the car and the car was VERY fast. Things happen in a hurry at those speeds.
